geographical Situation of Whiting Bay in the south east of the Isle of Arran

Whiting Bay

a view of Whiting Bay beach toward Holy Isle in the misty background

Whiting Bay overlooks the sea towards the very southern portion of Scotland. The village thrives on a wealth of accommodation for all situations, a great selection of places to eat (from formal restaurants to coffee shops), Whiting Bay has also the added benefit of two extremely well-appointed shops in the village and a farm shop specialising of bio-food just outside. Services are a garage with car-hire, various shops, craft outlets and an art gallery. Two Pubs help you to spend the evenings in leasurly surroundings. There is also a challenging 18 hole golf course, visitors are always welcome. Enjoy some interesting and well-known forest walks in this area, or better yet, you can try renting an SUV from car hire companies in the area. This can be a good option since like car rental dublin companies, Scotland's car rental industry is known to provide quality cars that will suit your needs. Take a drive to the island's famous destinations, particularly to Glenashdale Falls, the island's most impressive waterfall. Along the shoreline, the beach is a mixture of pebble, rock-pool and sand.
